Unfortunately - our paid research in early 2025 did not find a link to the Baron. We knew records in France were incomplete, but thought the experts might uncover something. We are unable to find where Daniel Castine was born, we know he married Honor Squire in 1697 in JW's boyhood church in Cornwall.

East Stonehouse, Devon, England.
In 1862, aged 16 he migrated to South Australia on the cargo ship AMICUS, arriving in early September at Port Adelaide.

John William settled in Auburn working as a storekeeper.
Later he owned a shop which is now part restaurant, accommodation and food outlet and well looked after in 2019.
