Gert's memoir case contains JW's correspondence with North American historians of the time, 1882 - 1923.

JW's search began in late 1882 when he read an article while in London about a town in America called CASTINE.  Until then he only knew of his descent from a French house of some distinction. All of his searching had to be done in person or by letter back then and took years to gather some of his discoveries.  NOW in 2025 - we have provided "Trace Your Past" with much detail we've collected over the years, so their two researchers in France can ascertain if Jean Vincent d'Abbadie de Saint-Castin fathered an earlier son in FRANCE.  WE now positively know that he did return to France for a year or so before going back to Acadia in 1670. His known children were all born after he returned to New England a second time.  We don't appear to have any Native American DNA or French (in quantity) - while one Native American descendant on the maternal side actually has 30% French DNA, and we're working with Emanuelle now, November 2025.

MARK James is at the helm of our DNA discoveries.
